The Thoughts of Paul Buchanan

Through The Picture Window shines a spotlight on the real Julian Lennon. Examining what drives him as an artist and revealing the truth about his photography, his music and his philanthropy. This is both a nuanced portrait and an in depth look at the creative process itself. Filmed by award winning documentary filmmaker Dick Carruthers, (Oasis, Led Zeppelin) and up and coming Director/Editor Ed Coleman (Noel Gallagher, Skunk Ananise) this revealing film sweeps away the curtain to capture an artist at work. The film gives the viewer a peek inside the private world of Julian Lennon for the very first time. The documentary is packed full of fascinating and exclusive interview footage featuring Bono, Steven Tyler and Lennon himself, not to mention friends and industry fellows alike.

This honest look at his creative world seeks to capture and reveal what moves Julian Lennon artistically and gives an insight into how he brings a project to life and what really makes Julian tick, as well as what motivates him to get up in the morning

He's an easy hang isn't he... when he's not hitting you over the head with a whiskey bottle
- Bono

I had a lot of fun writing with him and I like tapping into genius like that because it does nothing but set me on fire
- Steven Tyler

Behind Julian's music I discovered a story that's never quite been told; of constant collaboration, quiet perfectionism, fierce loyalty, frustration and sabotage then humble brilliance, and the steady facing down of mis-conceptions, of which there are many
-Dick Caruthers
